As the study of Bill n\u00b0 89 began on March 18, the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration ind\u00e9pendante des syndicats autonomes (FISA<\/a>) is voicing serious concerns about the deep changes it proposes regarding labor relations. By redefining the concept of essential services and restricting the right to strike, this bill threatens to infringe on workers’ fundamental rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the direct impact of this reform on the 6,000 workers it represents, FISA strongly regrets not being invited to participate in public consultations. This exclusion is particularly concerning as the reform could significantly alter the balance of collective bargaining in Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this situation, R\u00e9al Pleau, President of FISA, addressed the issue in an open letter to the media, highlighting the union’s concerns and urging the government to reconsider its approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This open letter has been widely shared in several media outlets, including Le Soleil<\/a>, La Tribune<\/a>, Le Droit<\/a>, Le Quotidien<\/a> and La Voix de l\u2019Est<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
